Jamshedpur: The Tatanagar Railway Protection Force (RPF) Flying Squad, in collaboration with the Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) team, successfully apprehended two members of a gang notorious for stealing passengers’ luggage. The arrested individuals have been identified as Sheikh Akbar Ali, also known as Sheetal Kumar Sao, and Prakash Sahu, alias Prakash Aggarwal, hailing from Sundergarh, Odisha.
During the arrest, law enforcement recovered several items, including a fake Aadhaar card, a money purse, two mobile phones, four empty bags, and a satchel bag from the accused. The operation was conducted as part of Operation Passenger Security, a special initiative led by ASI Balveer Prasad and his colleagues from the RPF.
The arrest unfolded when no the RPF team observed two individuals behaving suspiciously on platform number three at Tatanagar station late on Thursday night. Taking prompt action, they surrounded the suspects, took them into custody, and initiated an interrogation to gather further information.
