Ranchi, April 28: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader Kalpana Murmu Soren party candidate  in Gandey Assembly by-election met party supremo Shibu Soren on Sunday at his Morhabadi residence and took his blessings.
Kalpana Murmu Soren, wife of former Chief Minister of the state Hemant Soren, met father-in-law Shibu Soren and mother-in-law Rupi Soren.
Kalpana Murmu Soren will file her nomination in Gandey on Monday. Chief Minister Champai Soren along with other leaders of India Block, JMM officials and workers will also be present during the nomination. After this there will also be a public meeting.
Incidentally, after the resignation of the then Gandey MLA Sarfaraz Ahmed on 31 December 2023, Gandey seat had become vacant where by-election will be held.
Kalpana Soren shared in social media handle that JMM will continue to work for the rights of the people of Jharkhand and Gandey assembly throughout and the picture of Gandey Assembly will be changed.
It is being told that Kalpana Murmu Soren will reach Gandey on Sunday evening itself. On Monday, she along with the Chief Minister and other leaders of India Block will go to the Collectorate and file the application. After this a public meeting has been organized in Piparwatand.
BJP has made Dilip Kumar Verma its candidate in Gandey by-election.
