Gamharia, March 28: Hundreds of residents of Gamharia launched an anti-encroachment drive from a service road near Lal Building Chowk, Gamharia, on Thursday.
Leading the residents, local Municipal Council member Mamata Bez alleged that the district administration officials had failed to take note of the problems being faced by the local people. Gamharia residents have long been demanding removal of encroachment from the service road near Lal Building Chowk, but no action has been taken in this regard as yet, said Bez.
The councilor and other residents appealed to motorists, bike owners and traders to keep the road free of encroachment. They said the road gets blocked due to wrong parking.
The campaigners included Brajesh Singh, K Pradhan, Pramod Singh and Ajay Prasad.
