Gamharia residents oppose encroachment bid

Jamshedpur: The residents of Satvahini, Jamalpur Busti, in Adityapur industrial area put up a demonstration before the circle office in Gamharia on Monday to oppose alleged encroachment of a government land in the locality. The agitators alleged that a local influential person was squatting over the vacant government land. They said the said plot was used by the residents for sports and wedding ceremonies for the last many years. But now the land has gone into the hands of the encroacher, they said. The CO of Gamharia assured to conduct a probe into the allegations.
