Gamharia: A meeting of the Peace Committee was convened in the Gamharia police station premise which was presided by Circle Officer Dhananjay. It was decided that Durgotsav would be celebrated in a sedate, simple and peaceful manner. In view of the COVID-19 scenario, crowds would not be allowed to gather in pandals, pandals should be sanitized at regular intervals, masks should be worn while leaving homes, thermal scanners should be available in every pandal, simple pandals are to be constructed, no cultural programmes are to be organized. Presiding the meeting Dhananjay made it mandatory for all Puja committees to implement government COVID prevention protocols.� BDO Thakur Gauri Shankar Sharma stated that puja committees should take all precautions to keep members and devotees free from coronavirus infection. The Peace Committee assured the administration of following all guidelines. Others present in the meeting included Sub Inspector RN Jha, Mukhiya Prabha Devi, Ramu Murmu, Naresh Tudu, Ajit Singh, Manoranjan Singh, Amit Singhdev, Amrit Mahto, Gram Pradhan Suraj Mahto, Babu Mishra, DN Singh, Sanjay Singh, Raju Rajak, Kavilas Yadav, Rama Nand Bhakta, Baikunth Mahto and Santosh Tiwary.
