Jamshedpur: The distinct flavor of festivities and vibrancy with the spirit of winter is set to come alive with Jamshedpur Fest 2016, starting from November 25 to January 22, 2017.
The city is all set to witness a plethora of talent in the form of its school children, social and cultural organisations, performing artists like musicians and dancers, painters and culinary experts.
From Mushaira for poetry lovers to dance and musical escapades, from Master Chef to Rock Show, and the colourful and vibrant Jamshedpur Carnival Parade, there is something for everyone at the Jamshedpur Fest.
To start with, a Mushaira for poetry lovers will be organised by Urban Services at Dhatkidih community centre. Eminent poets will recite their shayari�s on November 25.
The Sports Department consistently organises sporting and running events to provide a healthy work-life balance to employee and promote fitness among our stakeholders in the community. With objective in mind, Tata Steel will be organizing the Jamshedpur Run-a-thon on 27th November 2016.
Jam@Streets Day will have sporting events like roller skating, badminton, basketball, yoga, cycling, aerobics, golf and much more. Together with games, there will be rock bands adding to the Sunday euphoria with selfie corner, street painting, magic show, dandiya, etc.
Jamshedpur Carnival Parade will be held on December 17.The parade would start from Jamsetji Statue at Jubilee Park and finish at Gopal Maidan.
This colourful parade will have flavours of Latin Band playing live; contingents depicting various states and their culture, vintage cars; horses; army band, dancers etc. Citizens of Jamshedpur would join the parade.
The people of Jamshedpur would witness diversity of rock music at the Rock Show by Bands from Jamshedpur and nearby places on December 20.
