Fringe areas of Jamshedpur facing shortage of drinking water for 2 years

Jamshedpur: The people of Mahato Para and Shanti Nagar, adjacent to Maqdampur under Jugsalai Legislative Assembly, have been facing a shortage of drinking water for the last 2 years. Money has been collected from all households to provide water connection on behalf of the Drinking Water Department. But even after 2 years, the department is unsuccessful in providing drinking water. After getting information about this to the Samajik Seva Sangh, a delegation of the Sangh visited the said settlements on Friday and became aware of the problems.
Rajesh Samant of the Union said that in the year 2018-2019, money was taken by the Department of Drinking Water to give a connection of water. But even after so many days, water connection was not given. Due to which the people of the township are facing a lot of trouble. People have to bring water from 2 kilometers away.
In this regard, he spoke to the Executive Engineer of the department and requested for a connection. The department was asked to provide the connection within 1 week. The delegation included Sapan Karwa, Rajesh Samant, Bhupati Sardar, Sonu Srivastava, Kishen Hembram, Lakhan Samad etc.
