Jamshedpur, Aug 14: East Singhbhum district administration felicitated freedom fighters this year at their residence due to rise on COVID-19 infections in the district. Dhalbhum SDO Chandan Kumar along with Ghatsila SDO Amar Kumar, block development officer Dhalbhumgarh Shalini Khalko and Circle Officer Dhalbhumgarh Sadanand Mahato felicitated freedom fighters and their dependents at their homes in Jamshedpur and Dhalbhumgarh.�
Every year district administration during Independence Day function felicitates freedom fighters and their family members but with corona wreaking havoc the administration decided to felicitate them in their respective homes.� Those who were awarded on on ethe eve of the Independence Day are-Akhauri Baleshwar Sinha (Freedom Fighter), while dependents of freedom fighters who passed away into history were also felicitated.� Nalini Karmakar wife of late S Karmakar, Rajkumari Devi wife of Govardhan Sonar,� Saroj Devi wife Prabhash Chandra Thakur, Rani Bala Mukherjee wife of Hemchandra Mukherjee, Nibha Sen Gupta wife of Sukumar Sen Gupta and others were felicitated.
