Free distribution of Chhath puja items in Baridih

Jamshedpur: Chhath puja items will be distributed among the devotees on 23rd and 24th October in Shantinagar at Baridih Busti by the members of Swayam Sevi Club. The outfit president Amit Srivastava said the outfit would distribute lauki (bottle gourd) among the devotees on 23rd October in Bhojpur Colony and Vaishali Nagar at 4 pm. The bottle gourd is used during Nahay Khay ritual of Chhath Puja. Free fruits would be distributed on 24th October from 2 pm onwards.
The outfit members held a meeting in this connection on Sunday. It was decided to serve the devotees in whatever manner possible. Among those present at the meeting included Pramod Pathak, Vijay Singh, Dablu Dikshit, Suman Shandil, Puneet Srivastava, Santosh Yadav, Sanjay Singh, Sandeep Kumar, Pradip Kumar, Shambhu Singh and Kumar Saurav.
