Dhanbad: A tragic industrial accident at a coal washery operated by Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) claimed the lives of four daily wage laborers on Saturday. The incident occurred at the Munidih washery during manual loading operations when a massive mound of slurry debris suddenly collapsed, burying several workers.
Eyewitnesses reported that between seven and ten laborers were engaged in loading slurry into trucks when the mound gave way. Rescue teams rushed to the site and launched frantic efforts to extract those trapped beneath the rubble. Authorities have recovered three bodies so far, while search operations continue to locate the final victim feared trapped under the debris.

The mishap has sparked widespread panic in the region and raised serious concerns regarding safety protocols and the hazards of manual loading in industrial zones. Authorities have initiated an inquiry into the incident as the grieving families await the recovery of the remaining worker.
