Gamharia: Seraikela-Kharsawan police on Tuesday arrested four alleged criminals in connection with the killing of Anil Gope, a trader, near Adhunik company in Kandra on 7th May last.
Those arrested were identified as Vijay Krishna Pandey, Vikas Das, Dheeraj Prasad and Amit Kumar Singh. Cops confiscated a loaded country-made pistol, two bullets and three mobile phones found on the accused persons along with a car, one Mahindra Scorpio.
Cops said the prime accused of the murder case, Pappa Patra, and his alleged aide Sada Chandra Das, were at large.
Seraikela-Kharsawan SP Chandan Kumar Sinha said a team led by SDPO of Seraikela Avinash Kumar caught the accused persons traveling on the seized Scorpio on a road between Pindrabera and Baramari.
He said Anil Gope was killed following a dispute over contract in Adhunik power plant company. He said those arrested have a criminal past. A raid is on to nab the absconding criminals, he said.
