Jamshedpur :The Steel City is being decked up to pay tributes to the founder Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata on his birth anniversary on March 3.
Jubilee Park and other institutions of Tata Steel is being lit up for the occasion. The theme this year is ‘Going Digital’. The entire celebration has been designed in a way to spread message of going digital. The illumination at Jubilee Park will have an impact of the digital drive. Special LED screens will be put up inside Steel Works to showcase the Founder’s Day parade taken out on march 3.
Various departments of the steel major are busy making tableaus to be displayed on the occasion. The tableaus too will have digital display to showcase future vision of the company.
On the other hand, Tata Steel subsidiary looking after civic needs of the city, Jusco, is giving final touches to its beautification work on major roads which are being widened as part of its plan to ease traffic snarl.
The beautification work at Subernarekha Link Road (between Jubilee Park-Mango bridge), Bistupur Main Road (from Voltas Building-Tata Steel powerhouse), Sakchi Boulevard Road (from Circuit House- Bistupur GPO), Kharkai Link Road (from Gopal Maidan-Adityapur bridge) , N-Road (from Bistupur traffic signal-Kharkhai sewage treatment plant), Kadani Road (from Tinplate Company-Baridih) and Seventh Avenue Road (from Sri Krishna Public School-Kharkai Link Road) has been completed.
It’s not Tata Steel alone but, Steel city at large is gearing up to celebrate the Founder’s Day, the birth anniversary of J N Tata on 3rd March, the founder of the Steel major and the one who laid the foundation of the semi cosmopolitan city of the erstwhile Bihar. Inside works floats would demonstrate how the departments have incorporated their working based on Tata philosophy.
Besides, the annual tributes paying celebration inside the premises of Tata Steel works and illumination of the Jubilee Park, which is primarily the company’s affair, several of the city based social organisations have planned to hold programmes on 3rd March to pay their heartily tributes to the iconic personality of the Indian history.
These organisations will take out colourful pageantry near Food Plaza on March 3 to pay tributes to the visionary.
