Jamshedpur, Dec 9: Independent candidate from Jamshedpur East Saryu Roy Sunday said he had contested the Assembly election on behalf of the people of the constituency and was sure of his victory. He said there was no more fear in the minds of the people who were now coming out in his support.
Commenting on the controversy over alleged exchange of EVMs at several polling booths of Jamshedpur East, Roy said, The district administration should exercise precaution and work strictly within the limits set for them by the Election Commission. They should remember that the people are with me and if there is any anomaly, it will be exposed soon with evidence.
Roy warned BJP leaders against threatening his supporters. He said it was his duty to protect his supporters in every possible manner. After the elections, the BJP leaders of every Mandal unit are now issuing threats. This is against democratic values. A lot is being written about me on various social sites but I will not quit in my fight, he said.
Roy said BJP was in dismal condition in Kolhan. He said BJP would at most get three seats out of the total 33 Kolhan seats in the second phase polls.
