Former UCIL CMD visits Jadugora plants

Jamshedpur: Former UCIL CMD Ramendra Gupta and his wife Saroj Gupta visited various Uranium plants of the company in Jadugora on Wednesday. They returned to Jadugora after participating in the Jharkhand Mining Show held in Ranchi. They were accorded a warm welcome on their arrival. Speaking to media-persons, Gupta said that UCIL has a bright future. He said he had put forth the proposal to reopen the Jadugora mines that has been lying closed for the last three years before the state officials concerned. He expressed hope that the state government would soon implement the proposals and reopen pending Uranium projects. He said there was a growing demand for Uranium in the country and the radioactive metal was quintessential for the country�s future.
