Former soldiers hail ICJ verdit on Jadhav’s execution

Jamshedpur: Members of Poorva Sainik Seva Parishad on Thursday hailed the verdict of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) staying the execution of Indian national Kulbhushan Jadhav by the government of Pakistan.

They said the ICJ judgment had dealt a blow to the nefarious designs of the Pakistan government. They said the entire world was shocked to see the temerity shown by the Pakistan government.

“We are very happy to know that the International Court has given its verdict in favour of India. The Indian side fought the case well and the advocates argued very strongly to get the execution stayed. This is a major breakthrough for India,” said one of the revelers.

The former defence personnel took out a rally across the city to celebrate the verdict. They held the Tricolour in hands and raised patriotic slogans. They also praised the senior Supreme Court advocate Harish Salve for his efforts to get stay on Jadhav’s execution.

Among those present during the celebration included Varun Kumar, Sidhnath Singh, Manoj Thakur, Anand Pathak, Ashok Vajpayee, Surendra Ojha and Harendra Tiwary.
