Jamshedpur: On the auspicious occasion of Khalsa Sajna Divas (Baisakhi), Sarabpreet Kaur, daughter of the late Manjit Singh Calcutta, former Education Minister in the Punjab Government, and her husband Jagjit Singh, a renowned hotelier from Kolkata and former East India President of the All India Sikh Students Federation (1980–1995), were warmly welcomed and honoured during their visit to Jamshedpur.

Their first stop was Sakchi Gurudwara Sahib, where they offered prayers and bowed before the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, paying their respects on the sacred day commemorating the creation of the Khalsa Panth by Guru Gobind Singh Ji in 1699. They extended their heartfelt Baisakhi greetings to the Sangat (congregation) of Jamshedpur, sharing in the festive spirit of the day.

Later, the esteemed guests visited the office of Satnam Singh Gambhir, the current East India President of the All India Sikh Students Federation. In a gesture of reverence and welcome, Gambhir presented them with a Siropa, a traditional token of honour in Sikh culture.
