Jamshedpur: There is no dearth of talent in Jharkhand. If given opportunity, local talents can also prove their mettle in different fields. It will not be a surprise if Jharkhand produces a Miss World some day.

This was observed by Nidhi Jaisawal, a former Mrs India, during an interaction with media-persons here in the city on Saturday.

Jaisawal, who is on a visit to Jamshedpur, said she is making rounds of Dhanbad, Ranchi and Jamshedpur in search of candidates for Miss and Mr Jharkhand contest.

She said she had found several promising candidates in Dhanbad and was now going to hold audition in Ranchi and Jamshedpur. She said the candidates should be residents of Jharkhand in order to be eligible to participate in the contest.

Those youths who have been living in Jharkhand for the last five years are eligible for participation. They should belong to the age group of 16-26 years.

Having good looks is the only criterion for the contest, said Jaisawal who is the brand ambassador of Dhanbad Municipal Corporation.

The candidates shortlisted at Jharkhand level will be given professional training in Pune, Jaisawal said.
