Jamshedpur, Feb 8: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Jharkhand is set to intensify its “Operation Lotus” by welcoming back former members who had previously separated from the party. As part of this initiative, former Ichagarh MLA Arvind Singh, popularly known as Malkhan Singh, who had left BJP to become an independent, is scheduled to join the party at Chandil Resort in Seraikela Kharsawan district on Tuesday, 13th February.
The event will witness the participation of BJP State President Babulal Marandi, indicating the significance attached to this reunion. Laxmikant Vajpayee, the BJP’s Jharkhand in-charge, is also expected to be involved in the welcoming ceremony. Additionally, AJSU Party’s metropolitan convenor Samaresh Singh, a prominent youth leader, will join BJP along with Arvind Singh, contributing to the party’s growing success in the region.
Preparations are underway for the induction of several other leaders into the BJP fold, with a dedicated committee overseeing the process. Speculations suggest the possible inclusion of leaders like MLA Saryu Roy, former state spokesperson of BJP Amarpreet Singh Kale, and Satish Singh, who had parted ways with BJP due to disagreements. However, official confirmation on these potential joinings is yet to be provided.
Former MLA Arvind Singh’s decision to rejoin BJP becomes significant as it fills the vacant seat left by the late BJP MLA Sadhucharan Mahato from Inchgarh. AJSU, an alliance partner, is also gearing up for the elections, with Harelal Mahato preparing to contest the seat
