Former CSI chief K Janardhan passes away

Jamshedpur, Nov. 23: Krishna Janardhan, former chairman of Compuet Society of India (CSI) and a former Tata Steel employee passed away on Saturday.

Mr. Krishna Janardhan, fondly known as �Jack,� started his career in Tata Steel after completing his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur in 1965. He joined Tata Steel as graduate trainee and was posted in IT in 1966. Subsequently, Janardhan completed his MBA on Operations Research from XLRI in 1971. When he left Tata Steel in 1986, he was divisional manager of the erstwhile Computer Services Division.

Mr. Janardhan went on to have an adventurous career around the globe. He was general manager of Infotech in 1986. In 1989, he joined as vice-president at Intersoft in Portland, Oregon, USA. �In 1991, he became the CEO of ETA Infotech in Dubai. In 2006, he became Project Director of TCT Nigeria before retiring in the year 2008.

An energetic soul, he continued to spread the knowledge he gained as visiting faculty of the Asian Business School in Noida, UP, before finally settling into a quiet life with his family.

Recently, Mr. K Janardhan was in Jamshedpur as prominent speaker at the �Digital Jharkhand� program organized by CII from October 31 to November 2, 2015.
