Saraikela: Environment department of Saraikela-Kharsawan has constructed four residential quarters for Forest Guards in the Saraikela forest range of Mohitpur. The quarters were formally inaugurated by Kharsawan legislator Dashrath Gagrai. Divisional Forest Officer Aditya Narayan and Saraikela Forest Range Officer Pramod Kumar, forest guards and local JMM party workers were present on the occasion. Gagrai observed, “Forest guards will benefit from these quarters and the villagers residing in forest areas will be benefitted by way of protection. Poaching of trees and wild life will be curbed.”
