Food Minister and MP lay foundation of 10 projects in Mango

Jamshedpur, Aug 12: State food and civil supplies minister Saryu Roy and the MP of Jamshedpur Bidyut Baran Mahato jointly laid the foundation of seven road reconstruction and three drain construction projects in Mango under Jamshedpur West assembly constituency on Monday.

Roy said Rs 6 crore would be spent on the construction of three big drains in Mango Municipal Corporation area. Various roads would be reconstructed in Mango, he said.

Roy said the roads were damaged during the laying of pipeline in Mango. Some of these roads were repaired earlier, but majority of them still need reconstruction, he said.

Roy said a spacious town hall needs to be constructed in Mango to cater to the needs of the people. Given the large population of the area, a multipurpose hall is required, he said.

Roy said Mango would be developed in a phased manner in the coming days.

The MP said the state government was committed to the speedy development of the state. He said many development projects were underway to revamp the basic infrastructure in the city.

Others present during the event included Chitranjan Verma, Deepak Sahay, Vijay Ojha, Madhu Sinha, Chhotelal Singh, Kameshwar Singh, Pinki Kaur and Sunita Singh.
