Chaibasa, April 16 : District level workshop on beacon panchayets of Jhikpani block was organized jointly by UNICEF and Jharkhand government at Zilla Parishad Bhawan in Chaibasa on Saturday.
The administration selected five panchayats of Jhikpani block including Asura Choya, Kadahtu, Nyagaon and Tutugutu Panchayats as model panchayats .
UNICEF and SIRD Jharkhand state coordinator Kaushal Kishore from Ranchi gave training to the five panchayat public representatives on basic amenities, E-Governance Education, Financial inclusion, health, Livelihood developments, Sanitation, Social security, and women empowerments.
Later, district program officer Prakash inspected and asked various questions relating to their training subjects. The purpose of the training is to utilize the resources properly as the panchayats are receiving grants directly from the state for panchayat Raj institution in Jharkhand.
Deepak Kumar was appointed as district co-coordinator for district coordinating committee .
