Jamshedpur: Five Mukhiyas and several ward members of Bagbera panchayat joined the BJP on Thursday. Potka MLA Menka Sardar and district BJP president Dinesh Kumar were present on this occasion.
The induction of new members took place during a function organized at the local panchayat building situated in Rajendra School, Bagbera. Those who joined the BJP today included Gauri Toppo and Bahamuni Hembram.
Addressing the gathering, the Potka MLA said the double-engine BJP government at Centre and Ranchi had put Jharkhand on the path of development. Many welfare schemes have been implemented in the state by the BJP-led governments, she said.
The district BJP president said the BJP was sure to win all four Assembly seats of Jamshedpur. He said the Central and state governments led by the BJP had given top priority to Antyodaya. The direct benefit transfer scheme of the government had done away with middlemen as beneficiaries were now directly getting benefits of government schemes, he said.
Earlier, the Mukhiyas and ward members were garlanded and presented Angavastra by the Potka MLA and district BJP president.
