Five Geetanjali Express passengers robbed at Tatanagar

Jamshedpur, March 1: Five passengers were today robbed of their cash, mobile phone and other belongings on board the Howrah bound Geetanjali express at Tatanagar railway station here, Government Railway Police (GRP) said.

The GRP said that five of them were found unconscious and were taken to S E Railway hospital where doctors referred them to M G M Hospital.

Four passengers were released after first-aid but one is still admitted in the hospital, they said. One of the passengers who was released after first aid told the police that two youths in the train befriended them and offered them cold drinks laced with drugs.

They all fell unconscious as soon as they consumed it and the youths decamped with their cash, mobile phone and other belongings, the passenger said.
