Jamshedpur, Nov 23: The prestigious Jambu Akhara Samiti successfully organised its second community wedding ceremony on Sunday, celebrating five couples who entered into matrimony with joy, social harmony and traditional Vedic rituals. The event saw the participation of family members, community representatives, committee officials and hundreds of local residents.

The Samiti stated that its primary objective is to “promote social unity, support economically weaker families, reduce unnecessary wedding expenses and encourage simple and culturally rooted marriage traditions.” The organisation aims to hold such community weddings every year.

All five couples were brought to the wedding pavilion, where a team of priests performed the rituals during an auspicious time in the month of Kartik. The Samiti arranged everything—from the mandap, priests and sacred materials to wedding attire, procession arrangements, food and gifts, including essential household items for the newlyweds.
