Jamshedpur: The district administration has commenced preparations for the vote counting of the 09-Jamshedpur Lok Sabha constituency. In a significant step, the first randomization of officers and personnel designated for the counting process was successfully completed. This process was overseen by District Election Officer Ananya Mittal at the Collectorate.
Following the completion of the randomization, the list of assigned officers was securely locked, adhering to the stipulated guidelines. The event was attended by Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar and PD ITDA Dipankar Chaudhary, among other officials.

Mittal highlighted that the EVM and VVPAT machines, used during the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, have been securely stored in the strong room at the Co-operative College. She assured that the vote counting will be concluded by June 4.
“The first randomization has been conducted in accordance with the Election Commission’s directives, involving officers assigned for vote counting duties. This is just the beginning; two more rounds of randomization will follow. The second will be based on assembly segments, and the final randomization will be table-specific,” stated Mittal.
The vote counting is scheduled to commence at 8 AM, and the meticulous preparations aim to ensure a smooth and transparent process.
