Jamshedpur: An innovative educational initiative was launched across all schools in East Singhbhum district offering Class 8, with the first-ever Pre-Board ASSET (Assessment of Scholastic Skills Through Educational Testing) examination held on January 30, 2026.
The main aim of the examination is to improve the academic performance of Class 8 students and enhance the overall quality of education in schools affiliated with the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) Board. To support effective learning, three different sets of JAC Board-based model question papers were prepared by subject teachers from within the district. These papers will be used by schools on different examination dates.
The special examination was conducted successfully under the guidance of the District Education Superintendent and the Principal of Chakulia. The programme also received strong support from In-charge Principal Ram Nath Singh and faculty members Victor Vijay Samad, Basant Kumar Munda, Ankita Champa Murmu, Juthika Bhakat, and Rajni Ranjan.
Victor Vijay Samad made a notable contribution to the planning and execution of the initiative, helping ensure its smooth implementation across schools.
