Gamharia: Property worth over Rs 1 lakh was gutted in a fire that broke out in a shop in Kandra market late yesterday night.
The cause of the mishap is not known as yet. Cops suspect the fire broke out as a result of a short circuit. The fire reportedly broke out in the wee hours.
The shop belongs to one Lalu Gope. He said puja items were kept in the shop. The items were completely burnt in the incident, he said. Two fire tenders were sent to the spot to douse the fire.
