Jamshedpur, Jan 2: Fire broke out in the general office of INCAB under Golmuri police station area on Thursday. Many documents and furniture were destroyed in the incident, sources said.
In view of the incident, Jharkhand Chief Secretary DK Tiwari and DGP KN Choubey ordered a probe to find out as to under what circumstances did the fire break out.
The probe was ordered on the demand of Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy who visited the company and raised suspicion about a conspiracy leading to the incident.
Soon after getting probe orders, SP City Subhash Chandra Jaat visited the company and sealed its office.
A forensic investigation will take place once the fire is completely put out, police said.
Sources said it was the fourth time fire had broken out in the company. Surprisingly, there is reportedly no electricity connection in the company office at present.
Last year too, similar incident was reported. Important documents related to workers� wages, PF account were kept in the company�s office, sources said.
The company was shut down some 20 years ago. A case is pending in the National Company Law Tribunal. The next date is on 9th January.
In view of the incident, Saryu Roy has called a meeting with INCAB workers on Friday.
