Ranchi, Dec. 6: Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary Amit Khare directed all departments to provide information about autonomous authorities, boards, corporations and PMUs to the Finance Department working under them in the light of the ongoing budget making process for Financial Year 2017-18.
He demanded information regarding the number of staff and officers, subsidy or grants received from the state government and funds deposited with the banks under different schemes.
Khare said that the step has been taken to review the financial functionality of different boards and corporations. Mostly boards and corporations depend on the state government for their financing and many of them have scope for financial reorganization.
All departments have been asked to provide this information by 15th December this year.
Khare further said that a department wise review will be done from 7th to 16th December this year so that the suggestions received in the pre-budget seminars may be incorporated in the next budget.
