Jamshedpur: In a shocking incident, a finance company agent attacked Amit Giri, a resident of Adarsh Nagar, Sonari, with a chopper in Jubilee Park today, leaving him critically injured. The attack occurred when Amit failed to pay his bike installment on time. He was immediately rushed to Tata Main Hospital (TMH), where his condition remains critical.
According to eyewitnesses, Amit was standing in Jubilee Park with his friend on a Splendor bike when the finance company agent confronted him. The agent attempted to snatch the bike keys, leading to a heated argument. When Amit resisted, the agent pulled out a chopper and began attacking him mercilessly. Amit suffered severe injuries on his left hand and back, with a piece of flesh reportedly torn off from his left hand due to the brutal assault.
Following the attack, Amit was immediately admitted to TMH for treatment, where his condition is described as extremely critical. His family members are in shock and demand strict action against the attacker.
Meanwhile, Bistupur Police acted swiftly and arrested the accused finance company agent. He was taken to the police station for questioning to determine the motive behind the brutal assault.
According to the police, the attack was triggered by a dispute over non-payment of bike loan installments. However, investigators are probing deeper to uncover any underlying issues that may have led to the violent confrontation. The accused is currently being interrogated to understand why he resorted to such extreme violence.
