Fighting Covid-19: ‘People for Change’ hands over 600 PPE kits to DC Office

Jamshedpur, June 7:  People for Change, an NGO working with youth, women, transgenders and adolescents in Jamshedpur has been at the forefront of Covid relief in the first and now in the second wave as well. Their volunteers have been working in calling up, counselling and motivating people to donate plasma (plasma support groups), volunteering to deliver ration, medicines and essential supplies to people and families affected due to covid.
People for Change has also been reaching out to over 350 transgenders and sex workers with weekly rations for around six weeks. The team has also reached out to over 1000 families of daily wagers with ration.


Today the team from People for Change handed over 600 PPE kits and face shields to the District Collectorate office.The PPE kits were handed over to Saurabh Kumar,Director,DRDA and other officials.
Vaibhav Pratap Singh, Naveen Kumar,Jay Vardhan,Raman, Suman and Lokesh represented People for Change and assured the director of their continued service as Covid warriors for the district.
