Jamshedpur: Senior authorities of East Singhbhum district administration have been directed to visit various areas and perform physical inspection of various projects and schemes. It will be compulsory for them to visit field on Tuesday and Friday. An order to this effect was issued by the deputy commissioner (DC) Dr Amitabh Kaushal during a meeting of senior administrative officials on Monday.
The DC discussed the working strategy for all officials in the various departments of the district and asked the senior officials to ensure that they visit their respective areas on Tuesday and Friday as a necessary measure. The officials will ensure physical inspection and verification of implementation of various administrative units functioning under them.
It was decided that the senior officials will conduct weekly inspection of the offices under their charge. The DC said the main purpose of formulating such a working strategy was to ensure verification of works being done by the government departments and ensure improvement in the performance of the officials concerned.
The DC said the daily posts arriving and leaving the DC office should be managed in such a manner to ensure their smooth flow. He said the letters sent by the state government and replies given to them should be recorded properly in files with relevant details.
The meeting was also attended by the deputy development commissioner (DDC) Lal Mohan Mahato, additional DC Ganesh Kumar, district supply officer Dilip Kumar Tiwary, special rationing officer Anil Kumar Rai, district transport officers, district land acquisition officer, district welfare officer, director of ITDA and other officials.
