Female policeman dies in suspicious condition in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: Reba Rani Mandi, working as an assistant police officer in Golmuri police station, died on Thursday under suspicious circumstances. Her body was found hanging in the house itself. Reba Rani, originally from Baharagora, had a love marriage with Babulal Hansda of Gamharia in the month of October itself.This was Babulal’s second marriage. Four days ago, Reba Rani had complained of harassment against the in-laws at the Bagbera police station. When the people of the in-laws side informed the people of the maternal side, they have accused the in-laws of hanging the dead body by killing them. After getting the information, the police also reached the spot and took the dead body in possession and sent it for post-mortem.
Police station in-charge Rajeev Kumar Singh said that the police is investigating the matter as a suicide. At present, no written complaint has been made from the maternal side. Further action will be taken only after written complaint. The cause of death will be known only after the post-mortem report comes.
