Seraikela: Satish Singh Modak, assistance professor at Acharya Chhau Nritya Vichitra, Seraikela, and an international Chhau dance artist has been selected for the Junior Fellowship of the Ministry of Culture of the Government of India.

He will receive a monthly honorarium of Rs 10,000 for two years. He had presented a research paper on Seraikela Chhau Dance: Its Technique and Transformation.

The assistance director of the institute Ranjit Kumar Acharya said two more people from the institute Rajkapur Mahato and Paresh Kumar Parit have been selected for fellowship for Mayurbhanj and Purulia dance forms of Chhau respectively.
