Jamshedpur: The All India Sikh Students Federation has launched a phased protest against persistent train delays at Tatanagar Railway Station. The agitation began with a large-scale letter-writing campaign directed to the Union Railway Minister.
Campaign Details and Launch
The protest officially commenced in the presence of Jamshedpur (West) MLA Saryu Roy.
- Initial Phase: The federation plans to submit approximately 5,000 letters to the Ministry of Railways detailing the hardships caused by frequent delays.
- Key Grievance: Federation president Satnam Singh Gambhir noted that consistent delays have severely impacted both daily commuters and long-distance travelers over recent months.
- Economic Contribution: Gambhir emphasized that despite the high revenue generated by Tatanagar and the Chakradharpur Rail Division, passenger convenience continues to be neglected.
The federation warned that the protest will intensify if the Ministry fails to address the lack of punctuality.
