Ranchi: Renowned fashion designer Shaina NC met Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das in the state capital on Monday to discuss ways for global branding of khadi and Jharcraft products.
She advised the CM on various aspects of designing, branding and marketing of the khadi and handicraft products of Jharkhand.
NC stressed on designing the products keeping in mind the market demand. She said the products should be accorded strong marketing in order to sell them globally.
She praised the Jharkhand-based products for their high quality. She said the products just needed value addition and proper branding. She said the sarees, shawls and handicraft items of the state were of good quality.
Among others present at the meeting included Khadi Board chairman Sanjay Seth, Principal Secretary to the CM Sanjay Kumar, Industry Secretary Sunil Kumar Barnwal, SK Tewatia of Jharcraft and Deepankar Panda of Khadi Board.
