Farewell for retired RKFL employee

Gamharia: Ramkrishna Forgings Limited (Plant-1) organized a heartfelt farewell for retired Forging Shop employee Barkush Mahato. The ceremony was attended by company HR Head Rintu Mukherjee, union officials and staff. Mukherjee praised Mahato’s disciplined and dedicated service, while Union President Abhay Labh highlighted his nearly 25-year tenure. Labh wished him good health for the future. Other speakers included Lab Incharge Niranjan Mishra, Union Secretary Tarkeshwar Yadav, Vice-President Dinesh Ram and Treasurer Achhelal Yadav. Mahato was honored with bouquets and gifts, with numerous employees attending the event.

 

 

Prominent businessman Kamal Agrawal passes away

Gamharia: Kamal Agrawal (56), a well-known businessman and social worker from Gamharia, passed away on Friday night after a prolonged illness. Following the news, many local businesspeople and social workers visited his residence at Mangalam City Tower for last respects. He is survived by his wife, son and extended family. His cremation took place on Saturday at Parvati Ghat, attended by a large number of people from the community.

 

 

Founder’s birth anniversary, 80th Foundation Day celebrated

Gamharia: Harishchandra Vidyamandir School, Kandra, celebrated the birth anniversary of its founder along with the school’s 80th Foundation Day. Director Rajkumar Varshney paid tribute by garlanding the founder’s portrait, recalling his contributions since the school’s establishment in 1945. Principal Joba Das highlighted the school’s academic achievements. Students performed colorful cultural programs, impressing parents. The event concluded with sweets distribution. Teachers, students and a large number of parents attended the celebrations.

 

 

Road safety awareness campaign conducted

Gamharia: Under the direction of Superintendent Mukesh Kumar Lunayat, Gamharia police organized a road safety awareness campaign in Kandra on Saturday. Station Incharge Vinod Kumar Murmu led a foot march, educating pedestrians and drivers about traffic rules. The campaign emphasized wearing helmets, using seat belts, avoiding overspeeding and adhering to other regulations. The police stated that such awareness initiatives will be regularly conducted to reduce road accidents.

 

 

Severe cold disrupts life

Gamharia:The extreme cold has severely affected daily life in Gamharia, especially for the poor, elderly and vulnerable. So far, the state and district administration have not provided blankets. RJD leader Mukesh Jha urged authorities to arrange bonfires and distribute blankets to needy people. He also requested identifying public areas in each ward of Chhota Gamharia Panchayat for emergency heating arrangements to help residents cope with the harsh winter.
