Jamshedpur, April 2: A group of DBMS English High School and JH Tarapore School students along with their parents met Dhalbhum Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), Parul Singh, to lodge a complaint regarding their failed status in classes 9 and 11 exams. They alleged that the exam paper scheduled for March 5 had been leaked on March 3, resulting in some students receiving higher marks while others failed. Claiming to possess evidence of the leak, the students demanded promotion to the next class. One student, Jasraj, recounted being advised by his class teacher to wait for communication from the school management regarding repeating the previous class, but no such communication had been received. The students accused the schools of discrimination, alleging that favored students received leaked information about exam questions, while others were left at a disadvantage. This incident sparked concern among a significant number of students in private schools, who alleged unfair treatment and collusion between teachers providing tuition and those administering exams.

  1. Students are NOT studying, indulging in grossly indisciplined behaviour throughout the year, failing and blaming the school management and teachers baselessly…. approaching the “all ears” local admn and politicians……the press jumps in….and viola !!! the cocktail for promotion is ready!!! This is the same story for quite a few years now.Its HIGH TIME the administration stops interfering in the internal decisions of schools…..if you really have to do something concrete;STOP the mushrooming coaching classes that are vitiating the school environment and affecting classroom teaching adversely.
