Jamshedpur: A five-day faculty upgradation programme focused on student mentoring, mental health, and AI-enabled teaching was held at the National Institute of Technology (NIT).
The initiative, which concluded on Monday, aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, commenced on May 26 with a session on emotional intelligence and mental well-being by expert Sagarika Mishra. Over the subsequent days, faculty members were trained in contemporary pedagogical practices, learner-centric education, and the ethical integration of artificial intelligence tools in classrooms. The workshop concluded on Monday.
The workshop also addressed research ethics and effective doctoral supervision. At the valedictory session on June 29, Dr. K. Poddar and Sagarika Mishra emphasized the role of visionary leadership, empathetic mentoring, and collaborative campus culture in fostering student success.
