Facilities at MGM Hospital Jamshedpur to improve in 6 months: Jharkhand Health Minister

Jamshedpur, Apr 3: State health minister and Jamshedpur West MLA Banna Gupta on Saturday undertook surprise inspection of the state owned MGM Hospital in Sakchi. 
The minister inspected the gynaecology ward and maternity ward of the hospital and met with mothers who had given birth to babies. The minister tasted food prepared at the hospital canteen to judge the quality. He directed the hospital officials that under any circumstances there should be no compromise on quality of foods for patients and reminded that it is for this reason that the government has hiked the daily food cost for patients to Rs 100 and Rs 125 for seriously ill patients. 

The minister assured that in the next six months, the MGM Hospital will see a new ambiance and that the chief minister is committed to improve heath infrastructure. He also said that the government had sought proposal from Tata Steel’s utility service provider Jusco and work has already begun on this front and within six months lot many changes can be see in the biggest government hospital of this region.
