Chaibasa: A youth, identified as Kalindar Nayak, was arrested on charges of demanding extortion money of worth Rs 30,000 in the name of Jharkhand Liberation Tigers, an extremist group, from Silviniya Surin, a panchayat committee member of Anandpur panchayat of Chaibasa, on Saturday.
An FIR was lodged against Nayak with the Manoharpur police station in this regard. Cops arrested the accused from Bhalupani Chowk on the basis of a tip-off sent to Jail.
