Jamshedpur, March 13: Payal Kumari, a Class VI student of Excel India Model School located in Pradhan Colony, Birsanagar, has been awarded the prestigious Jyoti Fellowship for the academic year 2025–2026 in recognition of her outstanding academic performance.
Payal achieved this honour through her dedication, hard work, and consistent excellence in studies.
The Jyoti Fellowship is conferred by the Tata Steel Foundation to meritorious students who demonstrate exceptional performance in the field of education.
Payal comes from a humble background. Her father, Pratap Rajak, works as a contract worker, while her mother, Premlata Devi, is a homemaker.
She is the only child of her parents.
Despite limited resources, Payal nurtures a big dream—she aspires to become an IPS officer and serve the nation. Along with academics, she has a keen interest in singing and reading books.
Her achievement has brought pride and joy to the entire school community.
School Principal Mamta Kumari congratulated Payal on her success and said that her accomplishment will serve as an inspiration for other students. She also expressed confidence that Payal will continue to bring laurels to the school and her family in the future.
