Jamshedpur, Dec 10: Shailesh Karua, son of former MLA Mangal Ram, today lodged a police complaint against several people for allegedly assaulting him late Sunday night.
In the FIR lodged at Govindpur PS, Karua said he was severely beaten up by Runu Yadav, Shahnawaz, Dabloo Singh and Vivek Jha around 11 pm. Karua said the accused persons also threatened to kill him. He said Runu Yadav threatened to shoot him dead for supporting Independent candidate from Jamshedpur East Saryu Roy in the recently concluded Assembly elections. He said he was abused and assaulted by Yadav and his associates outside his house.
Karua informed Saryu Roy about the incident. He said Runu Yadav and other accused had a criminal background.
