Jamshedpur, Oct 26: India’s first-ever Master Cricket Tournament, the Pankaj Memorial Cup, is scheduled to take place from November 2nd to 4th at Keenan Stadium in Jamshedpur. What makes this tournament special is that it exclusively involves participants aged 60 and above.
Renowned Indian cricketers Rajesh Chauhan, Arun Lal, and Surinder Khanna will be present as observers, while Kirti Azad, a member of the 1983 Cricket World Cup-winning team, is participating in the matches. On Thursday, an inspection of Keenan Stadium was conducted by Gunjesh from Tata Steel UAIL and R. Pavan Kumar from the Sports Department. The inspection team reported that many renovation works are in progress, and the ground is also being prepared for the event. By October 31, the stadium will be handed over for the matches.
The tournament is being organized by the Veteran India Cricket Foundation (VCI).
