Jamshedpur, April 6: The Tata Steel Education Excellence 10th Annual Award function will be held at Tata Auditorium, XLRI on 8thApril 2015. Dr K.Radhakrishnan, ex- Chairman, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Tata Quality Management Services will be organizing two events as part of its Annual Award 2015 programme:
The first is a Students� and Teachers� Dialogue with Dr K. Radhakrishnan on Wednesday 8th April 2015 from 12.15pm to 1.30pm at Tata Auditorium, XLRI. Teachers and senior students of Jamshedpur schools will get a unique opportunity to interact with the renowned scientist.
The second event is the TEEP 2014 Annual Award function on Wednesday 8th April 2015 from 5pm � 7pm at Tata Auditorium, XLRI, where schools will get recognized and awarded for their efforts towards education excellence for the year 2013-2014.Dr K Radhakrishnan will be the Chief Guest. Suresh Dutt Tripathi, VP, Human Resource Management, will grace the occasion with his presence.
Dr K Radhakrishnan was instrumental in the success of Mangalayan mission to Mars. ISRO, which refers to Dr. Radhakrishnan as a �Man of Steel�, describes him as an efficient engineer, magnificent manager, an impeccable institution builder and an inspiring leader who has many historic milestones in the last five years being at the helm of affairs�.
Dr. Radhakrishnan received the Padma Bhushan Award in 2014 for his contribution to Science and Engineering, especially in the field of Space Science and Technology.
He was also named one of Nature�s ten “people who mattered” of 2014 on December 18, 2014, along with Radhika Nagpal, and others.
TEEP was introduced in the year 2003, as a tool to enable schools improve the �quality of education� and create a culture of excellence to nurture the �citizens of tomorrow.� 40-50 schools (touching 2500 teachers & 100,000 students) of Jamshedpur and nearby outstations have been regularly participating in TEEP.
