Jamshedpur, August 9:. The shops built around Jail Chowk in Sakchi will be removed. In this regard, the administration had already sent notices to the shopkeepers asking for an answer as to why their shops should not be demolished.
On Wednesday, all the shopkeepers reached the block office to meet the Circle Officer.
However, the circle officer was not satisfied with the reply of the shopkeepers and asked the shopkeepers to remove their shops. There are a total of 21 shops near Jail Chowk, out of which notice has been given to 18 people.
The road widening work is being done by TSUISL (formerly Jusco) at the said site, in which the shops are becoming a roadblock.
