Eve-teasing accused acquitted after five years in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Mar 16: The court of first class judicial magistrate in Jamshedpur civil court, Kanchan Kumari on Tuesday acquitted Mohammed Danish alias Rinku of charges of eve-teasing and molestation of a woman due to lack of evidence. 
Mohammed Danish is a resident of Mahto Pada in Jugsalai and a case was filed by a woman of Mango at Mango thana  in 2016 accusing Danish of molesting and eve-teasing a woman in the absence of her husband and fled away only after she started screaming. 
When her husband came she narrated the entire thing and they lodged a case at the Mango thana after which the accused was arrested and sent to jail. 
During the hearing in the case which lasted for five years, the petitioner legal counsel failed to prove the accusation with substantial evidence while the accused’s legal counsel said that Danish used to frequent the house as they were family relation. The accused enjoyed benefit of doubt and was released.
