�Ethics Month� kicks off at Jusco

Jamshedpur, July 1: Ethical behavior is intrinsic to the way Tata Steel conducts business and it is part of the Group�s legacy from the founder Jamsetji Tata, who believed that business must operate in a way that respects the rights of all its stakeholders and creates an overall benefit for society.

As a tribute to late J R D Tata, July is celebrated as �Ethics Month� in the Tata Group since the past few years. This has helped in reinforcing employee involvement and passion in the Management of Business Ethics (MBE) over the years, a press communiqu� issued by the utility services company on Friday stated.

As always, this year too, on July 1, Jusco kick started the �Ethics Month� by the Ethics Flag being unfurled by managing director Ashish Mathur and president of Jusco Shramik Union Raghunath Pandey. This was followed by the administering of the Ethics Pledge and addresses by the MD JSU president.

Mathur shared his vision on ethics, saying that it’s our own responsibility to do what we have promised to do since we have all taken this pledge. He also stressed on the words of rededicating to uphold ethical values.

The celebration, this year, will focus on the theme �Living the Code�.

The Corporate Ethics department of JUSCO has lined up a series of events such as poster competition, skits, quiz, etc for the month of July.

These events will not only encourage participation of the employees and the community at large, but will also help to reinforce the Tata values among its employees.
