Jamshedpur, Aug 22: East Singhbhum district Civil Surgeon Dr Sahir Pal has advised city people to take preventive measures against diarrhea, malaria and various other diseases
According to the Civil Surgeon, flash floods resulted in rainwater entering several localities and households. Due to water-logging leading to accumulation of stagnant and dirty water, the threat of malaria and other vector-borne diseases looms large on the city. Consumption of contaminated water may also lead to various life-threatening diseases, he warned.
Dr Pal said the district health department was sprinkling bleaching powder across the city as a preventive measure. People should eat fresh and warm food and also drink warm water, he said.
